About the Role
A Product Engineer at Rev AI sits at the intersection of product management engineering and user experience. You own problems end to end translating user pain into shipped outcomes. You work across the stack with a bias toward rapid iteration measurable impact and clean maintainable architecture. You collaborate daily with product managers designers data and customer facing teams to ensure what we build is both valuable and reliable.
What You Will Do
Partner with product and design during discovery sessions user interviews and workflow mapping to clarify real user needs
Translate problem statements into concise technical specs with clear acceptance criteria success metrics and tracking events
Implement features across frontend and backend surfaces including APIs data models background jobs and interface components
Maintain a high code quality bar through readable modular code automated tests code review and observability instrumentation
Optimize performance focusing on query efficiency caching bundle size rendering speed and perceived responsiveness
Integrate analytics experiment flags and telemetry to validate adoption retention activation and conversion impacts
Debug production issues perform root cause analysis and drive remediation follow up with clear documentation
Continuously refactor and pay down technical debt while balancing delivery speed and long term maintainability
Collaborate with security to apply authentication authorization input validation and data protection best practices
Contribute to the product roadmap by surfacing technical opportunities constraints and informed trade offs
You Will Succeed If You Have
Four or more years of experience in a modern web SaaS environment touching both frontend and backend layers
Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript plus experience with a component framework such as React and a server runtime such as Node or a similar environment
Solid understanding of relational data modeling REST or GraphQL API design and event driven patterns
Habit of writing automated unit integration and end to end tests and using CI pipelines effectively
Comfort querying data with SQL and interpreting product metrics to guide iteration
Clear communication skills explaining decisions trade offs and risks to technical and non technical stakeholders
A product mindset focusing on real user outcomes rather than only ticket completion
Nice To Have
Exposure to creative automation advertising technology or marketing workflow tools
Experience with feature flag systems experimentation platforms or A B testing frameworks
Familiarity with real time updates websockets event streams or pub sub patterns
Background in performance profiling frontend and backend
Basic knowledge of machine learning model integration or semantic search
